Sharon Grubaugh

User Experience Leader

As a seasoned User Experience (UX) Design and Research leader with over 30 years of user experience in design and research with both government and commercial clients, my work includes using design thinking techniques to facilitate valuable user research activities, applying the understanding of user needs, expectations, and contexts to create compelling and usable designs, and leading projects to ensure successful development and implementation in a lean/agile environment.

I bring more than two decades of experience of guiding clients and employers to a better understanding of the people who will use their products. I am well-versed in all facets of UX best practices, including user research, interaction and visual design, information architecture, usability and content strategies. I am insightful and analytical, methodological, with an appreciation for detail which never loses sight of context. Perhaps most importantly, I am inherently empathic, good-natured and adept at finding practical solutions for complex problems.

My strengths lie in crafting a problem-solving approach to understanding users of a service and tying insights to organizational goals and processes. I thrive in collaborative and challenging environments.

From research to personas(jobs-to-be-done), from user journeys to requirements for website and applications. I enjoy every bit of work I do.
